In September last year we posted the Architectural Rendering we did for multifamily condos in New Orleans, The Sauvage. The Sauvage is a renovated historic building featuring four luxury condos located in the heart of historic Faubourg St. John. The development started in 2018 and was finished last year 2019. The units range from $399,000 all the way up to $789,000.
The Sauvage today
Here it is! Beautiful, elegant, comfortable living in the historic New Orleans. The address is just a stone’s throw away from New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Course that famously hosts the annual Jazz Fest. When you open the large balcony doors you are bound to hear the tunes waltzing right into your living room.
You can also rest your eyes on the fabulous dome of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, or visit one of the many quaint little cafes around the neighborhood. Our renderings helped to sell the largest unit with another under contract and negotiating contract on a third one. No wonder the largest of these beauties was sold immediately, with second under contract and third in negotiating contract. If you want one, you better act fast.
Starting point for the Architectural Rendering work
Here’s a photo what the place looked like when we started drafting for renderings in summer 2018. The place was in studs, with no windows or doors in place. The interior materials had been selected, and we also received the window and door schedule as well as kitchen cabinets and counter top material.
Below the construction photo is the final architectural rendering of this same view. This is the view from kitchen towards living and dining area overlooking the beautiful Faubourg St. John area.
Architectural Rendering and how it matches reality
And here is a photo of the Living Room in real life now that it’s finished. Amazing how accurately the rendering was able to anticipate the actual outcome. You notice how we have used the real view that opens from the windows as the background of our architectural rendering. You can well see the historic red shotgun house across the street, and the magnificent overarching views across our beautiful New Orleans.
Hearing from the Real Estate Agent
Kathleen Lunn, who is the sellers agent, has also used Blue-Sketch renderings in her Open House invitations despite photos being available. “I was just so blown away by the architectural renderings when we first got them, I got to liking them a lot better than some of the photo footage.” Kathleen tells us.
Kathleen used the renderings to list Sauvage in MLS well before there was a chance to take any photos. Thanks to the MLS system the listing showed up all over the country, including the New York Times, Zillow, and Realtor.com. “The Sauvage is both a classic historic New Orleans building as well as an elegant present-day home with practical features for the jazzy lifestyle. The renderings were able to capture all that.”
