Elaborate Virtual Stagings for Upscale Buildings by Drewlo Holdings

Drewlo Holdings Inc. is a family-owned business that has been developing, constructing and managing apartment buildings for 60 years. The buildings include some of the most upscale developments in five cities in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Over 9,000 units are built, owned, and managed by Drewlo Holdings.

Why Virtual Staging

Today, Drewlo manages some 60 rental buildings with spacious apartment suites and upscale amenities. As the buildings are some of the most well-appointed and well-managed, it is only natural to bring that attention to high quality and detail into their marketing materials.

“Drewlo Holdings uses both physical staging in model units, as well as Virtual Staging on photos of vacant apartments”, explains Leia Smoudianis, Marketing Manager at Drewlo Holdings. “We currently have suitable photos for all 60 buildings, some with and some without furniture” she continues.

Virtual Staging is a quick and inexpensive way to bring life into an empty room.

Working with Blue-Sketch

Drewlo Holdings commissioned Blue-Sketch to create a batch of 12 Virtual Stagings for five vacant apartments. The interior style requirement for each unit – Traditional, Modern, and Contemporary – came from Drewlo’s in-house designer.

“Blue-Sketch Virtual Stagings look visually stunning, and they are a perfect fit into our design philosophy” says David Saunders, responsible for Graphics and Marketing at Drewlo Holdings. “We gave them a list of design attributes and an idea of the typical demography in each building. I was impressed by their ability to implement our requirements into final interior design.

We’ve uploaded the Virtually Staged images to our building pages. I think they blend in great with the real photos”, David continues.

Color Palette and Mood Board were derived from existing style drivers in the buildings.

The Process

We wanted our Virtually Staged images to blend in with photos of physically staged rooms, so our Designer started by collecting Reference Styles and building a Color Palette from existing photos.

During the process we were able to collect a number of design requirements related to lighting, rugs, art, plants, furniture size and placement that will carry over to the new vacancies. We also created personalized furniture collections specifically for this project.
